Teen Camp prides itself on our excellent staff of talented counselors, chosen from applicants all over the country and around the world. We look for energetic, responsible and mature individuals who are ready for a summer full of making lasting camp memories and helping to build friends-for-life. Our staff are all a minimum of 21 years old and come with a wide range of youth work experience and sophisticated skill sets. We feel that a diverse staff gives our campers the chance to learn a little bit about different cultures and to meet people from around the globe.
Our key summer camp staff is committed to a high standard of supervision for each individual camper. Most key staff have been with the camp for many years and offer strong leadership skills, creative ideas and superb organizational competency. We promote a culture of Dugma I’Shit – personal example, where our staff become role models for our campers.
All staff are carefully selected through a rigorous hiring process. They then attend a week-long training program prior to camp starting. Sessions are tailored for counselors to cover all aspects of their job. Counselors receive on-going training through weekly meetings and daily supervision on the job.
